Online Safety

Keeping children safe online is the first consideration in every aspect of training I deliver. I can help schools ensure that they comply with every aspect of online safety outlined in the DFE's Keeping Children Safe in Education. 

I am an online safety mark assessor for the 360 Online Safety Tool. Over the last ten years I have worked with many schools to help them move towards the standards required to attain the Online Safety Mark. I have also carried our many Online Safety Mark Assessments on behalf of South West Grid for Learning. 

The services I can offer include:

DSL and SLT Training. Working with your safeguarding team to ensure your approach to safeguarding meets the required standards. This includes social media, filtering, monitoring, artificial intelligence, technical security, cyber security. These sessions can also be used to help school work towards the online safety mark. 

Staff Training Training to update and inform all adults that work in your setting. This constantly updated training highlights the latest developments in the online world that can present both risks and opportunities for adults and children. 

Parental Online Safety Sessions. This training aims to empower parents to help them support and protect their children in the online world. Whilst risks are highlighted, there is a focus on approaches and resources for parents to keep children safe whilst making the most of the opportunities the online world can offer.
